| Garnet comes from
the Latin word “granatus” which
means “seed like”. This was because
Garnet crystals in a rock reminded early scientists of
the shape and color of pomegranate seeds. Garnet
comes in a variety of colors and it is perfectly fine
to wear any of the colors to symbolize a birth date. Garnet
was considered the gem of faith, constancy, and truth. |
